COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Skype Technologies SA has extended sales of Wi-Fi phones to a multivendor OEM strategy.
This week, the company began selling Wi-Fi phones from Belkin, EdgeCore and SMC at its Web site, augmenting an existing deal to sell NetGear phones announced at January's CES.
The phones come preloaded with Skype software for free Internet calls, expanding the IP telephony service provider into the in-building voice over Wi-Fi market.
