LONDON Research in Motion Ltd., the Canadian-based developer of the BlackBerry handheld email device, is holding open evenings to try and recruit hardware and software developers to work in the U.K. or in Canada, according to advertisements.
The open evenings are scheduled to take place at the Courtyard Marriott hotel, in Slough, England, starting at 4:00pm on Sept. 25 and 26. The positions RIM (Waterloo, Ontario) is looking to fill are mainly in the software area covering DSP firmware, radio firmware, software development and software architecture and test development for a "quad-mode" handset.
However, according to the company's website there is one U.K. hardware job going in BlackBerry systems support. That job would seem to be mainly involved in interpreting and resolving end-user and carrier issues.
